02When we are responsible for your data

Our role depends on whose data it is and why we have it:

• We are the controller for information about people who contact us, send an enquiry, or are our customers — we decide how and why it is used.
• We usually act as a processor for personal data that sits on websites we build or host for customers (for example form submissions or customer records on a client’s site). The website owner is normally the controller and decides how that data is used; we handle it only on their instructions to provide our services. The exact role depends on the arrangement agreed with each client.

If you are a visitor to a website we host and have a question about your data, contact the owner of that website first.

03What we collect

Enquiries

Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, optional phone number, business name and current website, the services, package and timing you select, and your project description. At present, the form checks your answers in your browser but does not send or store them anywhere. If you email us, we receive whatever you include in your email.

Customers

When you work with us, we hold contact details, project correspondence, materials you supply, and billing records.

Hosting

When we host a website, our systems store its files and data, and may create technical logs (such as IP addresses and request details) needed to run, secure and fix the service.

04Why we use it and our legal basis

• To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes — steps you ask for before a contract, or our legitimate interests.
• To design, build, host and support websites — performance of our contract with you.
• To invoice and keep accounting records — legal obligation.
• To keep our services and hosting secure — legitimate interests.

05Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where needed to provide our services, for example with providers that run our hosting infrastructure, email and accounting, or where the law requires it. Current providers: Lovable (website hosting, the database and private file storage behind our enquiry system and client portal, and sending our automated emails) and Microsoft 365 (our business mailbox). This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address with it to deliver the fonts.

06How long we keep it
